Linux Shell Utils For Text Manipulation

Abstract:

A quick look at the tried and true GNU/Linux shell programs like cat, cut, wc, tr, sed, awk, iconv, wget, and the lot, all useful for cleaning and parsing text, basic calculations, or reporting. Bash and regexp refresher course included.

Speaker: Igor Kolar, lawyer (i work with Slovenia's Information Commisioner), used to code for a living (java, python, perl, some ruby, lots of html/js), 10+ year kiberpipa/linux fan. 31 yr old.
